The inevitable, painfully drawn out ending of our beloved game.
I understand there are still a few servers still active, but overall we are in an unprecedented low players situation.
Our server has approximately one month of credit remaining, but if it stays empty for the next week or two I may pull the plug on it.
If no donations come in for it and it's empty, there is no reason to keep paying for an empty server, obviously.

I want to say Thanks to all who helped make our server a great place to play.
Many have followed myself, Simmy, Karma and G.o.d from ATF.
Others have stuck around an empty or near empty server to help get it going.
Others have donated financially to keep the bills paid.
Admins have done a great job keeping the place clean and shiny.

Thank you all.
We had one of the last active servers to the bitter end. :headbang:

The difficulties with getting online with BF2, finding the servers, and low populations, etc. has made me look towards BF4 for gameplay.
It's good fun, and I look forward to seeing you all in that arena if you have the means and interest to check it out.
There is a new section in the Forum here with info and discussion on BF4.

At this time, I do not have goals of creating a TnT BF4 Server, although it is not out of the question.
If more of the TnT community gets into BF4 and there is an interest, we can discuss it then.
Also, if someone else is ambitious enough and want to initiate one, please let me know your intentions and I will gladly help out where I can.
The BF2 server project has been worth every second, however it's also consumed plenty of time and thought and I feel like I could use a break from all that is involved with being Server Owner/Lead Admin.

No matter what game you are playing, you are welcome to join Ventrillo. Be social. Be anti-social. Be whatever. :flipoff:
I plan to keep Ventrillo funded and active. With no server discount, I think it's about $6/month.
The donations link should still be available to Paypal the account for it.
This website is hosted though another company, at $6/month.

well, it used to be my fav server. whatever i did, wherever i played, if i could i'd drop everything and join tits when i've seen some good map is on. i loved the concept of no bots and cool admins.

then suddenly it all changed after i met you. now it's more like a nightmare. knowing you i can't sleep. few days ago i woke up with an ache in my foot. i wouldn't know what happened till the late evening when i recalled i was dreaming TankBuster was chasing me in a jet and i turned around to kick him. I kicked my night table with my toe.

all in all thanks for shutting down the server, i hope i'll kick my table and my girflriend less in a sleep.

it's a win win situation.  :flipoff:

ZJ may not have goals of starting a BF4 server but I think we need one. Why not propagate the awesomeness of TnT across the BF4 gaming world.

Im sure with all the shit you went through setting up this buggy ass BF2 server a BF4 server should be a piece of cake.....lol

Ill be willing to kick down some snaps to get that going.

I love the title, reminds me of fond memories of puberty.....hairy palms, a freshly shorn scrotum, luge lessons, in the spring, we'd make meat helmets, typical childhood really.

thinking of not paying for the next billing cycle on the BF2 Server.
It's paid through the 7th of Sept.

thoughts?
it's pretty dead in there, lately.

it would seem that less and less i am able to play in TNT when others are on it. I always check there first and then end up going to another server- usually weekend warrior as they have rank and unlocks. I am also trying to get the hang of BF4 and actually got 3 kills in a noob site. Of course i was killed 34 times...... :banghead:  So, to shorten the story, I am good if you canx the server, i will still use ventrillo and this site.  :headbang:

yep. weekend warriors is one of 3 servers i ever see with any players.
i'm on to bf4, now. like anyone, when i have some time to game, i don't want to sit in an empty server and wait.

there are a few servers on bf4 that are a bit easier for a new player, like DOM Op Locker only, and VnV small maps, Team Deathmatch only, no flags.
Just like bf2, it helps to run with a squad that is actually working together.
you can easily join your friends with the Origin thing, and even be in our Platoon if you find the invite I sent you.

it seems a little less hectic while learning, as there are no vehicles on those.
i'll figure out vehicles later on!
